Petmatch App
Petmatch is a concept for a mobile application that allows pet owners to search up services for their dog or cat within their surrounding area. This app also allows people who provide services for dogs and cats to create a profile with the app and be found by pet owners who are looking for their services. (See the Marvel App Prototype).
Through the app pet owners can search for services based on:
- Availability
- Location
- Star Rating

Quickly find a reliable pet lover in your neighbourhood. Our app provides convenient access to hundreds of walkers, groomers and caretakers in your area.
Our app saves you time:
- It knows where you are and shows you service providers who are nearby
- It easily allows you to see the service provider's availability
- It remembers your favorite service providers
- It allows you to book the most highly-rated providers in just a few taps of your smartphone
Personas
Keenan Smith
Age: 50
Location: Vancouver, BC
Occupation: Engineer
Bio: Works in an office environment for a transporation company. Is married, has a dog and children who are grown and have moved out.
Pain Points: Dog sheds a lot and the fur gets all over the house. Is busy with work and does not have time to take dog to the vet.
Goal: Would like to have dog groomed to cut down on dog shedding and have someone take the dog to the vet while he is working.
José Degollado
Age: 38
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Occupation: Video Editor
Bio: Works in the marketing department for a video game studio. Has a girlfriend, 2 cats and works 40 hours per week but can work up to 50 hours during "crunch time".
Pain Points: Difficult to care for cats during long "crunch time" hours.
Goal: To be able to keep a work/life balance while maintaining current lifestyle and have cats taken care of.
Lily Liu
Age: 33
Location: New Westminster, BC
Occupation: Accountant
Bio: Works in an office environment for a waste management company. Is single and has just adopted a puppy and works 40 hours a week.
Pain Points: Is a first time dog owner, is stressed an losing sleep caring for a young puppy.
Goal: To have puppy toilet trained and be taken care of through the night so she can sleep.

A prototype was made using the Marvel App. The prototype was tested on subjects to test the navigation of the app from a pet owner's perspective.
